Payroll Specialist

Join our HR services division as a Payroll Specialist. You'll process multi-state payroll, ensure tax compliance, handle employee inquiries, and maintain payroll records using industry-leading software platforms.
Responsibilities:
- ■Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns, including multi-state and international filings.
- ■Compile, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and applicable reporting standards.
- ■Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, ensuring their understanding and satisfaction.
- ■Assist clients in identifying tax-saving opportunities, deductions, and credits to minimize tax liabilities.
- ■Coordinate with the IRS and state tax authorities on audits, notices, and other correspondence on behalf of clients.
- ■Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide accurate and current guidance.
- ■Support clients throughout the year with quarterly estimated tax payments, projections, and proactive planning.
- ■Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and compliance with privacy and security regulations.
- ■Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing timely and accurate information.
- ■Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of financial transactions.
Qualifications:
- ■Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ■Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in public accounting, tax, operations, or a similar role.
- ■Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance requirements, and applicable regulations.
- ■Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
- ■Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- ■Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing financial documentation.
- ■Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- ■Dedication to maintaining client confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
